Guilt and the Family Scenerio. So many folks are carrying around lots of pain and disturbance, simply because they feel a deep sense of guilt because they feel they have not lived up to the family expectations of them. This guilt is very real and also very unnecessary, because these family expectations generally do not take into account the individuals own wishes and desires. These family expectations are part of the false personality and we can free ourselves from either the guilt of not achieving or the pain of achieving (that wish is not true to our own soul path).
