SELF RESPECT AND SELF ESTEEM


"As within, So without."

We cannot hope to respect others if we don't respect ourselves first. We need to build up an understanding of the functions and appropriate expressions of the seven chakras, and then we need to respect the functions and expressions of each chakra - within ourselves and within others.

We need to learn to Respect Life. We are small and often ignorant. We may not as yet understand the way in which Life works. In this case it is best to learn to respect and honour life as the expressions and functions of the seven chakras, and have faith, trust, and respect for Life.

In the darkness we are the light.

For example, we can learn to understand and respect the base chakra - the physical body. We can learn which foods are good and healthy for it and which are not. We can learn to respect the second chakra energy, not giving in to endless selfish self-gratification, finding the sweetness in sexuality, finding the sweetness in appropriate and balanced pleasures, respecting the procreative energy in ourselves and then naturally we will respect that expression in others.

We can learn how to use our power, skills, and capabilities for the benefit of all. We can learn to respect, honour, and love the total mind - the functions and expressions of the seven chakras. This is the key to successful spiritual living - for the God inside everything.

 

As within, so without.

As we understand and respect our own chakras, we then begin to understand and respect other's too. As we examine and challenge our robotic and learned behaviour patterns, we can consciously begin to run new and improved chakra programs - life affirming programs, spiritually appropriate programs.

Sometimes, we may need to do quite a bit of honest self examination concerning our present attitudes and values towards our chakras. Some of these attitudes and ways of relating to our chakras will have been learned in our childhood by the process of conditioning. If we register that we have a negative attitude towards one or more chakras and we want to change it, then we will need to do some healing on those chakras. Some of these learned attitudes are so deeply ingrained into our personality that we have just accepted them as "the way we are" or even as "the way life is". This is not true, these are just learned and transferred attitudes - thoughtforms - and we can gradually change them.

We find that as we change our inner landscape, then we need to make changes to our outer world to accommodate our new behaviour. If you rid yourself of machoism, then you can no longer associate with macho people - that group will want you either to revert to your old behaviour programs or will expel you from the group, and we find that once we have changed a behaviour pattern, we no longer wish to associate with people who are still running those programs.

We change and move on. That's the way of evolution.
