THE
PSYCHOLOGY OF FEAR
So many human problems
have their roots in fear.
We fear not having
enough so we become greedy and stockpile provisions thus preventing others
having their fare share.
We fear being ridiculed
so we hide our feelings.
We fear being rejected
and hurt so we avoid real relationships.
We fear losing what
we have so we cling tightly and drive people away.
We fear being alone
so we put up with unsatisfactory relationships.
We fear our own intelligence
because people in our past showed us how to be stupid, because they too
feared themselves.
We fear our own misery
so we become jealous of those who are happy.
We fear our own happiness
so we become a tyrant martyr and prevent ourselves and others from being
happy.
We fear our positive
qualities because the herd tells us to hide them.
We fear life because
we have been conditioned
to feel inadequate.
All in all, fear is at the
root of so many of our problems. When we acknowledge this, then we can begin
to dissolve and disperse our fears. We can learn how to rid ourselves of irrational
fear.
Unresolved fear leads
to denial, ignorance, and hatred - Disease.
Resolved fear leads
us to integration, understanding, compassion, wisdom and love - Ease.
We can begin to understand
our fears by understanding how we relate to our
Chakra System. Do we have a lot of fear concerning one or more of the chakras?
If so, we need to work
with our chakras and change our attitudes and thus abandon our fearful relationship
with them.
