Chastise or Heal?


When we find an aspect of ourselves that we do not like, then we must not chastise this aspect or attempt to push it far away into the subconscious mind via the process of denial. We must attempt to understand this aspect of human behaviour that we find within our own consciousness.

We may like to ask ourselves some important questions that may lead to some form of self comprehension..

  • Why do I do that?
  • What is the motivation behind the behaviour?
  • How can I heal myself of this ailment?

Most of the behaviour patterns that we find within ourselves that we do not like, are simply parts of ourselves that have become corrupted, ignored or have been heavily chastised at some point in our lives.

The next time that we do something that we know is not right, instead of chastising ourselves, lets try to understand why we do these things in the first place. The symptom in rarely the cause.
