Tao Te Ching by Lao Tze The intention of this work is to construct a document that closely corresponds with the bestmodern translations of Lao Tse, but which is blunt, easy and useful to read within a modern context. "The Way" refers to the Absolute, God - that which is the source of all creation, that which is behind all the appearances of diversity and manifestation - and also refers to "The Natural Will of God", how God intends us to live happily and peacefully - content and satisfied, full of virtue and goodness. "The World" refers to the Total Manifestation, all the names and forms, the Creation, all creatures great and small - not just Planet Earth. In Yoga, the manifestation is also referred to as The Mind of The Absolute. The Verses. |
