ICM STAGE 4

- HEALING OUR INNER SUBPERSONALITIES -


Before you can do this healing exercise you will need to be confident and practiced in ICM STAGE 1 THE GROUNDING OF NEGATIVE ENERGY. If you cannot do this yet, then please be humble and study and practice The Grounding Exercise first - at least for a couple of weeks. Otherwise you won't receive much benefit from this Healing Subpersonalities Exercise and you may even experience agitation and upset. So let's make a commitment to following ICM in the proper way.

It is highly recommended that you practice and master ICM Stages 1,2, and 3 before beginning this healing exercise, then you will quicken and enhance it's performance.

If you are at least confident and practiced in ICM Stage 1 - The Grounding of Negative Energy - then let's get to work and heal these inner subpersonalities, so that we won't be bothered by them ever again.

Our inner sub-personalitites are those parts of our past that received some large negative and painful experience and thus this part of ourselves splits off from our main personality and forms one of these sub-personalitites. Problems arise because the subpersonalities are stored in the subconscious mind and exert a deep influence upon our mental, emotional, and physical experiences today and in the future. This generally causes pain and confusion for ourselves and others.

It's the unhealed pain that these parts of ourselves represent that healing work aims to dissolve, and thus bring our personality back to wholeness - holistic health - so that we are not subjected to unknown inner influences that disturb our daily living.

Common sub-personalities are:


ICM STAGE 4: PROCEDURE.

The ICM Healing Technique for healing these inner personalities is as follows.

STEP ONE.

Identify life events that may have produced a subpersonality. Make a written list in a journal. Always include the inner child and inner adolescent in this list because very few people pass through these deeply influential periods in life without developing one or more subpersonalities linked to these events.

STEP TWO.

Starting with the inner child - and then working through your list one at a time - follow this procedure.

  1. Visualise yourself as the person on the right and the subpersonality as the figure on the left.

  2. Sit in a comfortable posture with a (relatively) straight spine, but without feeling tense or rigid.

  3. Spend a few minutes taking nice big breaths, filling up your abdomen on each in breath, so that you become nice and relaxed.

  4. Visualise that person on the left as you remember yourself at that time in your life.

  5. Send lots of heart chakra love to that person on the left.

  1. As you continue to surround that person with love, begin to ground negative energy into the centre of the Earth.

  2. We do this so as to drain the negativity energy that this subpersonality represents out of our system forever.

  3. Keep sending lots of love and don't stop grounding.

  4. Continue this for at least a 5 minute session.

  5. It is strongly suggested that you work on each subpersonality for the minimum of 3 hours. You will probably need to break this 3 hours up into many smaller sessions. You may need to spend more than 3 hours on certain subpersonalities. It's worth doing it properly.

  6. You will know when the subpersonality is healed when you can think of that time in your life without feeling any painful, negative, or overwhelming emotion, mental agitation, or bodily tension. A lot of past emotional experiences are held as tension in the body.

  7. Perform some Forgiveness Exercise to forgive that person for any negative thoughts or actions that have come from them, and also forgive everybody concerned for hurting this subpersonality.
  1. If you are confident and practiced in ICM STAGE 3, then you may wish to Circulate the energy down to the centre of the earth and then up through the backs of the chakras to the crown chakra (represented here as the central white sphere at the top of the diagram), then bring it back down through the front of all the chakras and back down to the centre of the earth.

  2. Do this while continuing to send lots of love from the heart chakra to the figure on the left.

  3. This will enhance and quicken the healing process, but it is still best to spend at least 3 hours on each subpersonality. After all, when all the pain and negativity is gone, you won't have to do it again! So it's worth doing it properly.

  4. Perform some Forgiveness Exercise to forgive that person for any negative thoughts or actions that have come from them, and also forgive everybody concerned for hurting this subpersonality.
