The astral body is the repository for all the countless mental seed-impressions or Samskaras with which it leaves the physical body at death and travels on and enters another physical body.

Asanajaya is a Yogic term which means one is able to sit absolutely motionless and steady for a period of three hours without a break.

Samyama is the Yogic term for the simultaneous execution of the three processes of concentration, meditation and trance meditation (Samadhi).
