I endorse the CSD F10 nominator's rationale. and also I believe COM:HOST is applicable. Personal photos for personal purposes of no public benefit. Courtesy ping to @Lymantria: Graywalls (talk) 19:20, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Keep Per Commons:Project scope, a media file that is in use on one of the other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation is considered automatically to be useful for an educational purpose. This image is part of the Marion Boisot and People of Carmel Valley, California categories. This image does not violate Commons:What Commons is not which talks about party pictures and porn and original research. Greg Henderson (talk) 22:00, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Being a member of a category on Commons does not make a file "in use". Omphalographer (talk) 00:48, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Keep The image is also in use. Is this part of a harassment campaign? --RAN (talk) 00:10, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- What harassment? When something is CSD and it's opposed, bringing to deletion discussion is common Wiki procedure. It was CSD nom'd by an uninvolved editor @Lymantria: and objected by family tree building guy who uploaded it. I am simply endorsing the deletion request. - I noticed you have been nominating that person's entries at English Wikipedia, then you were voting for deletion at that person's entries at Commons, then deleting that person's family tree templates from category pages, and nominating that person's entries at Wikidata. The only thing that these items have in common is the creator/uploader. You are the one that started this nomination with this edit. --RAN (talk) 04:09, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Deleted: per nomination. --Bedivere (talk) 01:35, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Undeleted Boisot is notable enough for Commons, as I could see local history uses for media relating to her. She's not notable enough for Wikipedia, but Commons can host educational media that will never be hosted on Wikipedia. Granted, this is an edge case but as a historian, these files are in scope.
