Tools/Directory is a list of basic information about tools. See also https://toolhub.wikimedia.org/ .
Tools are classified into four groups:
- A. Essential
- They are essential to functioning of Commons. Alternatives do not exist or are highly inefficient. If anything breaks, Commons is paralysed.
- B. Important
- They are important, but Commons can still function if they are broken.
- C. Special
- Valuable specialised tools.
- D. General
If you can help maintain a tool, please write down your name as an "active maintainer", so that other users can contact you in case the tool has issues.
