2018年9月13日，中国政府最高规格慈善奖项“中华慈善奖”颁发，美国欣欣教育基金会中美全体义工获颁“中华慈善楷模”。 1997年，美国旧金山湾区华侨华人创办了欣欣教育基金会。21年间，基金会持续关注乡村小规模学校，努力让乡村小学从“小而弱”变得“小而美”。迄今，基金会已在中国修葺了350多所学校。 数量庞大的中美义工团队为中国农村基础教育发展倾注了时间、金钱以及责任。欣欣教育基金会理事长丁永庆说，“教育本身是一个持续不断的关怀，不是点一点水就好。”慈善，贵在坚持。 |
