Un Kolam (ou kolem) est une peinture traditionnelle réalisée sur le sol avec des poudres (farines de riz) colorées. Ces décors sont faits par les femmes devant leurs maisons principalement durant la période qui va du 15 décembre au 15 janvier (mois tamul de margaji)
