Formální záležitosti

Nominace

Jestliže jste přesvědčeni, že některý obrázek nahraný na Commons má hodnotu, která by ho opravňovala k zařazení mezi nejlepší obrázky, potom ho prosím přidejte. Můžete navrhnout obrázek, jehož jste autorem, ale i obrázek od kohokoli jiného. Předtím, než obrázek nominujete, zkontrolujte, že je řádně popsán a opatřen správnou licencí.

1) zkopírujte název obrázku do tohoto pole, například: Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Váš obrázek.jpg. Potom klikněte na tlačítko "vytvořit novou nominaci".

2) postupujte podle pokynů na stránce

3) ručně vložite odkaz na vytvořenou stránku nahoru na Commons:Featured picture candidates/candidate list: klikněte zde, a přidejte následující řádek na začátek seznamu nominací: {{Commons:Featured picture candidates/File:Váš obrázek.jpg}}

Hlasování

Prosím hlasujte použitím příslušného slova ve vaší řeči či použitím šablon uvedených níže:

Pro - Yes, Sim, Ja, Oui, Sí, Kyllä, 支持, Ano...
Proti - No, Não, Nein, Non, Ei, 反对, Ne...

Alternativně můžete použít šablony {{Oppose}}( Oppose) a {{Support}}( Support). Své sympatie k obrázku můžete vyjádřit pomocí šablony {{I love}}( Support) a svůj neutrální postoj pomocí šablony {{Neutral}}( Neutral).

Zkuste přidat pár slov o tom, proč se vám obrázek líbí nebo nelíbí, obzvláště pokud hlasujete proti.

Pravidla pro výběr nejlepších obrázků

14denní hlasovací období. Výsledek hlasování bude vyhodnocen 15. den po nominaci.
Jsou vítány i nominace od anonymních příspěvatelů.
Příspěvky do diskuse od anonymních příspěvatelů jsou vítány.
Hlasy anonymních přispěvatelů se nepočítají.
Nominace se nepočítá jako hlasování. Podpora musí být výslovně vyjádřena.
Mějte na paměti, že Wikimedia Commons má sloužit jako centrální úložiště svobodných obrázků, které mohou být využity všemi projekty Wikimedia, včetně možných budoucích projektů. Nejde pouze o sbírku obrázků pro wikipedii, navržené obrázky by tedy neměly být posuzovány z hlediska jejich vhodnosti pro tento projekt.

Navržený obrázek bude zařazen na seznam nejlepších obrázků, pokud splní následující podmínky:

Odpovídající licence (to je samozřejmé)
Nejméně 5 hlasů na jeho podporu
Poměr hlasů pro/proti přinejmenším 2:1 (dvoutřetinová většina, tj. přinejmenším 67 % hlasů pro)

Kandidáti na vyřazení ze seznamu nejlepších obrázků

Požadavky na nejlepší obrázky se postupně vyvíjejí. Můžeme dojít k závěru, že některé obrázky, které byly původně "dost dobré", už nevyhovují současným požadavkům.

Zde můžete uvést obrázky, které si podle vás už nezaslouží patřit mezi nejlepší obrázky. Pro vyřazení je třeba 2/3 většina hlasů a minimálně 5 hlasů pro vyřazení. V opačném případě obrázek zůstane zařazen mezi nejlepšími obrázky. Hlasujte pomocí šablon {{Keep}} Keep (zasluhuje si i nadále být mezi nejlepšími obrázky) nebo {{Delist}} Delist (měl by být ze seznamu vyřazen). Uveďte prosím odkaz na původní nominaci mezi nejlepší obrázky (ta je uvedena na stránce s popiskem obrázku). Jinak platí stejná pravidla jako při hlasování o kandidátech na nejlepší obrázky.

Pro návrh obrázku na vyřazení ze seznamu nejlepších obrázků prosím použijte následující šablonu, kde v řádku za předdefinovaný zápis, za dvojtečku doplňte název obrázku nominovaného k vyřazení:

Nová stránka návrhu na vyřazení by měla obsahovat:

Informace o původu obrázku (autor, kdo jej náhrál, případně odkud byl obrázek převzat).
Odkaz na záznam nominace / hlasování (je uveden na stránce obrázku).
Důvod návrhu vyřazení.

Po tomto je nutno ručně vložit odkaz nahoru na stránku Commons:Featured picture candidates/removal.

Info The one and only quality image of this building is from 2006 so I tried to catch the current look with current technical quality. The shape of the building is a truncated cone, which means that the vertical lines in the photo cannot be exactly vertical. Oppose OK, I'm going to go ahead and FPX this one, but as you're a new nominator, I'll give you some tips. 1) Feature Pictures are among the very best that exist on Commons, a tiny percentage of the millions of pictures on the site. In order to make it, the image either has to show something truly significant, like a famous person or event, or be of exceptional technical quality - sometimes both. Only nominate your very best images for this category. 2) It may be a good idea to first get some feedback over at QIC. As you can see from the process there, this image is not likely to succeed even there; the points of the low resolution and quality being mentioned. If I understand well, Wilfredor is not very happy that the image wheighs "only" 16.11 MB and is saying that I should have uploaded a version that weighs more MB. It is true that I uploaded a version that was compressed with Photoshop to a quality of 11 out of 12. But I strongly disagree with his statement for many reasons :

1) The rules don't forbid small jpg compression (they only forbid strong compression). Actually the rules even recommend using a jpg compression of minimum 80 or 90% and this is what was done here with a 92% compression ;

2) A compression of 11 out of 12 has a result of pratically no difference compared to a 12/12 quality export. Even zooming at 200% and comparing pixel by pixel I never saw any difference between the two with the naked eye ;

3) Usually I only do the 11/12 instead of letting the 12/12 when the image size is above 20 MB. Excessive file sizes are bad for many reasons ;

4) Wiki Commons has available storage issues and uploading files with excessive size will only make it worse ;

5) Excessive file size will take a lot longer to load for people with slow internet ;

6) Excessive file size might make some old smartphones crash when opening the file ;

7) Excessive file size is bad for bandwidth and will slow down the server ;

8) Many of my images have been loaded more than 1 million times per file, if you multiply this number with excessive file size it would be a waste of bandwidth. Examples : 4M views in 4 years, 2.6M views in 1 year, 1.4M views in 1 year, 2.1M views in 1 year 2.3M views in 1 year, etc.

9) If there was a policy of only accepting only loseless uploads we would only be uploading PNG format, which is not the case here and is on the contrary to be avoided.

I'm not saying that this is the case and also every photographer should be free to edit their photos as they see fit, and we enter a grey area where it can be a decision of the photographer or a technical error according to some. Destructive editing does not only involve compression of JPGs, but also very strong noise reduction or sharpness filters, or saturation or color changes that were not real (except for black and white images or specific cases). I come from Venezuela, a country with very limited internet access where almost no one can see our work even with the highest compressions, but should we limit ourselves in an attempt to be inclusive?, This is just a image, imagine all the bandwidth that is spent on watching streaming videos, which is becoming more common every day. IMHO As a general rule, I always suggest uploading the best possible version of your work, because the quality in which you share it today will be how it’s remembered tomorrow. If someone prefers a smaller version, there are several size options available on the image description page, but that should not be your limitation when creating. Don’t set up barriers that others can easily overcome. Show your art in all its splendor and detail. You might think now that it’s enough to upload an optimized or more modest version, but I assure you, over time, you’ll regret it. Technology and quality standards advance quickly. The best way to contribute your work to humanity is by sharing it in the highest quality possible. Support This photo deserves a little love. Yes, at the first glance the lateral view of the façade appears unusual and somewhat irritating. But (a) sometimes a little irritation is good, it shakes us out of our well-meaning lethargy and makes us look closer; (b) the lateral view reveals parts of the domes of the church which are shining in the sunlight; (c) this way we get a beautiful contrast between the shady, bluish piazza and the warm light on the domes.
