Anumānābhāsa

anumānābhāsa (T. rjes dpag ltar snang རྗེས་དཔག་ལྟར་སྣང་; C. biliang 比量) is an incorrect or mistaken inference (anumāna).[1][2]

Ives Waldo states:

merely apparent inference [in establishing one's thesis, having presented a faulty sbyor ba (argument), contradictory/faulty reasoning arises][1]
