Buddhapālita (T. sangs rgyas bskyangs སངས་རྒྱས་བསྐྱངས་) (c. 470—540) was an Indian scholar who is regarded as a key figure of the Prasangika Madhyamika school.

He is best known for his commentary on Nagarjuna's Mulamadhyamaka-karika, known simply as the Mūlamadhyamakavṛtti, or the 'Buddhapalita' commentary.

Buddhapālita's views were criticized by Bhāvaviveka, and subsequently defended by Candrakīrti.
