Dhṛtarāṣṭra

Dhṛtarāṣṭra (P. Dhataraṭṭha; T. yul 'khor srung; C. chiguo tian 持國天) is one of the four great kings, or "guardians of the world." He is the guardian deity of the east, and lord of the gandharvas and the pūtana.[1][2]
His Sanskrit name (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) means "one whose realm is stable." His Tibetan name (yul 'khor srung) means "protector of the realm."[1]
