indriya pratyakṣa (T. dbang po'i mngon sum དབང་པོའི་མངོན་སུམ་) is translated as "sensory direct perception," "direct perception of the senses," etc.
It is defined as "an unmistaken non-conceptual cognition arising on the basis of the ruling condition of the five physical sense faculties."[1]
It is one of four types of direct perception (pratyakṣa), according to the pramana tradition.
There are five sub-divisions:[1]
- valid visual direct perception
- and so on.
