Geshe Langri Thangpa (glang ri thang pa གླང་རི་ཐང་པ།) (1054–1123) was a scholar-yogi in the Kadampa school of Tibetan Buddhism. He was a disciple of Potowa Rinchen Sel.[1]

He was the author of Eight Verses of Training the Mind, which is considered a succinct summary of the lojong teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.

Langri Tangpa's Eight Verses had a great influence on Chekawa Yeshe Dorje, who wrote the Seven Points of Mind Training, another highly regarded lojong text.
