mānasa pratyakṣa [alt. manonubhavapratyakṣa] (T. yid kyi mngon sum; C. yishouxian liang 意受現量) is translated as "mental direct perception," "immediate referential awareness," etc.
It is defined as "an unmistaken non-conceptual cognition arising on the basis of the ruling condition of the mind faculty".[1]
Mānasa pratyakṣa is one of four types of direct perception (pratyakṣa), according to the pramana tradition.
