Maitreyanātha

Maitreyanātha. (T. byams mgon; C. Cizun 慈尊), is an epithet of Maitreya, the future buddha. The name is translated as, "Protector Maitreya," "Maitreya the Protector," etc.[1]

According to some scholars, this could also be the name of an Indian scholar and contemporary of Asanga, credited with authoring the Five Treatises of Maitreya.[1][2]
