Samsara is a sanskrit word that means uncontrolled rebirth - random reincarnation. When we think of terms such as rebirth and reincarnation we often imagine the actual re-entry of a person into the world. But is this what these terms really mean?
It is far more likely that the meaning refers to the uncontrolled re-birth of our daily mind. If we are not a master of our total mind - the seven chakras - then it will be a master of us. We are often a slave to our uncontrolled habits and learned reactions to the seven great areas of life - represented by the seven chakras.
The Totality of The Human Mind is Represented by the Seven Chakras
Being a slave to the random roving and conditioned movements of our mind is the samsaric experience. Our mind is re-incarnated every moment.
Would it not be great to be a master of it!
Until we fully master the functions and expressions of the total mind that are nicely represented by the seven chakras, then we will experience the uncontrolled moment-to-moment re-birth of a random mind.
In this samsaric state, we live impulsively, foolishly, and often recklessly. This is not a good state to be in. At it's best it is frustrating and a source of constant suffering and at it's worst this is a state of hell that we often observe in depressive and mental illness - insanity.
Knowing this, it is essential that we realise the importance of gaining total understanding and eventual complete conscious self mastery over the function and expressions of the total mind - the seven chakras. Then we become a Master.
Understanding our lives in terms of the seven chakras enables us attain the true nature of enlightened liberation which is freedom from the slavery to an impulsive, random, confused, and painful life. Freedom from the samsaric rebirth of the random mind.
This is why enlightened beings enjoy inner and outer freedom. Not the so-called freedom of laziness or anarchy, but the liberation from avidya - the state of universal ignorance - the confused, egotistical, and chaotic interactivity of the seven chakras - our total mind.
