Everybody wants to be happy

Let's say it again! Everybody wants to be happy. This is the true desire of all beings. All beings want to be happy. Happiness is the desired state. All beings are trying many, many ways to become happy, to attain the state of happiness. Nurture the qualities of kindness, forgiveness, compassion, mercy, and genuine human love of the heart for all beings and their plight for happiness.

How can we all attain this state of happiness? From the rock of fleeting sense pleasure (manas chakra)? From the accumulating of material wealth beyond our needs (base chakra)? By attaining power over others (third chakra)? By attaining fame, status and the admiration of friends and strangers (third chakra)? By consuming intoxicating substances (manas chakra)? By securing the attention of a lover or a family (second chakra)?

Do these things in themselves nurture a lasting inner happiness? The expressions of the lower chakras are not satisfying enough in themselves, it's only half of existence, experiencing half a life cannot be satisfying, half the picture is missing.

Only by the integration and ego-free (no self cherishing 'me') experience of the seven chakras can a person experience the unblocked, undivided, non-attached, balanced, sattvic state of being - enlightenment.

Everybody wants to be happy, but few people appear to be realizing this goal. In fact, most beings appear to get more confused, agitated, distracted and unhappy as life progresses. Compassion, kindness, forgiveness and love for all beings and their plight to find happiness. May all beings be happy. But how can we all attain this state of being?
