A Handbook of Pali Literature is a survey of Pali literature by Oskar von Hinüber.

From the publisher:

The Handbook deals with the whole of the literature in Pali, the liturgical language of Theravada Buddhism... In addition to reviewing the canonical texts (Tipitaka) ... and their commentaries, the Handbook presents the later Pali literature, written after the 12th century, much of which is only available in Oriental prints.[1]

The 1996 edition of this text is available online at archive.org:

A later edition from 2017 is also available.[1]
