anuvyañjana (T. dpe byad; C. hao 好) is translated as "minor mark," "minor sign," "secondary characteristic," etc.[1]

This term refers to the secondary characteristics of an object, in distinction from the object's generic appearance, or "mark" (nimitta; a.k.a "sign").[2]

Anuvyañjana also refers to the minor marks of a great person.[2]

Anuvyañjana is sometimes abbreviated as vyañjana.
