bhājanaloka (T. snod kyi 'jig rten སྣོད་ཀྱི་འཇིག་རྟེན་; C. qishijian) is translated as "container world," "vessel-like world," "world of environment," etc.[1][2] It refers to the physical or inanimate environment in which sentient beings (sattva) live.[1] This physical environment is said to serve as the "container" or "vessel" for the sentient beings.

The beings who inhabit this "vessel" are referred to as the "world of beings" (sattvaloka).
