Dṛṣṭyupādāna

dṛṣṭyupādāna (P. diṭṭhupādāna; T. lta ba nye bar len pa; C. jianqu 見取) is translated as "clinging of wrong views," etc. It is one of the four types of clinging (upādāna).
A Comprehensive Manual of Abhidhamma states:
- Clinging to wrong views is the adoption of any of the morally pernicious views such as nihilism, fatalism, etc., or any of the speculative views about the eternal or non-eternal existence of the world, etc.[1]
Buddhist Dictionary states:
- What is the clinging to views? "Alms and offerings are useless"; "there is no fruit and result for good and bad deeds": all such views and wrong conceptions are called the clinging to views.[2]
