Di lun zong (地論宗), aka Daśabhūmikā school, was a lineage of Buddhist scholars who studied the Di lun, a commentary on the Daśabhūmikasūtra.[1]
This school is considered one of the earliest traditions indigenous to Chinese Buddhism.[1] The school is based on the India Yogacara and tathagatagarbha traditions.[1]
Bodhiruci is regarded as the patriarch of this school, which was the forerunner of the Huayan school.[2]
The name Di lun is an abbreviation of Shidijing lun (Skt. Daśabhūmivyākhyāna), which is the full name of the commentary on the Daśabhūmikasūtra.[1]
