Jñānagupta (C. shenajueduo 闍那崛多) was an Indian monk from Gandhara who travelled to China around 559, during the reign of the Sui dynasty.[1] He subsequently translated many Indian Buddhist texts into the Chinese language. About 35 of his translations are still extant and are included in the Chinese Canon.[1]

Jñānagupta's translation of the Lotus Sutra included sections that did not appear in an earlier translation by Kumarajiva.[1] He also translated the Vimalakirti Sutra and other texts.[1]
