Mañjughoṣa

Mañjughoṣa (T. 'jam pa'i dbyangs; C. maioyin pusa 妙音菩薩) is an epithet for Manjushri. It literally means "gentle voiced one," or "sweet voiced one."

This name is a reference to one of the qualities of a bodhisattva of the tenth bhumi. A bodhisattva at this level is free from the faults of harsh speech; their speech is soft and melodious, possessing all the virtues of softness.
