Pañcaskandhaprakaraṇa (T. phung po lnga'i rab tu byed pa, ཕུང་པོ་ལྔའི་རབ་ཏུ་བྱེད་པ་; C. dasheng wuyun lun 大乘五蘊論), or Summary of the Five Heaps, is a commentary by the Indian scholar Vasubandhu. This text is no longer extant in Sanskrit,[1] but it is preserved in the Tibetan Tengyur. Commentaries on this work by Sthiramati, Gunaprabha and Pṛthivībandhu are also included in the Tengyur.[2]
According to the Princeton Dictionary, Vasubandhu's presentation of the five skandhas in this text "bears many similarities" to his presentation in the Abhidharma-kosha; however this text emphasizes a Mahayana point of view.[1]
There is also a text with the same title by Chandrakirti; see Pañcaskandhaprakaraṇa (Candrakīrti).
