Prāṇātipāta

prāṇātipāta (P. pāṇātipāta; T. srog gcod pa; C. sha[sheng] 殺[生]). Literally, "killing," "taking life." Taking the life of living creatures. The first of the ten unwholesome courses of action (akuśalakarmapatha ).[1][2]
