Praṇihita

praṇihita (T. smon pa) is translated as "wish," "aspiration," "desire," "fixation," etc.[1] It has the following meanings:

  • to want to gain/establish one's object.[1]
  • wishing to achieve any conceptual goal one may be focused on.[2]

The absence of praṇihita is apraṇihita (wishlessness), which is one of the three gateways to liberation,
