Science and Philosophy in the Indian Buddhist Classics

Science and Philosophy in the Indian Buddhist Classics is a four volume series of texts being developed under the supervision of the 14th Dalai Lama that brings together classical Buddhist scientific and philosophical explorations on the nature of reality within a framework accessible to the contemporary reader.

The four volumes are:

  • Science and Philosophy in the Indian Buddhist Classics, Volume 1: The Physical World (Wisdom: 2017); edited by Thupten Jinpa; translated by Ian James Coghlan
  • Science and Philosophy in the Indian Buddhist Classics, Volume 2: The Mind (Wisdom: Nov, 2020); edited by Thupten Jinpa; translated by Dechen Rochard and John Dunne
  • Volumes 3 and 4: will focus on the philosophical dimensions of the Buddhist heritage.
