Note on use of Sanskrit vs. Pali
Good point from footnote from WP article:
- "As is standard in WP articles, the Pali term viññāṇa will be used when discussing the Pali literature, and the Sanskrit word vijñāna will be used when referring to either texts chronologically subsequent to the Pali canon or when discussing the topic broadly, in terms of both Pali and non-Pali texts."
At some point we may want to clarify these standards somewhere.

I find these templates confusing, so I am removing them from the article. But I don't want to discount them altogether, so I am adding them to this talk page in case I wish to reconsider.
I think one of the problems with them is that they are using English translations for terms, and assuming the reader will know what the translations refer to. -Dorje108 (talk) 19:23, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
