Ten advantages

The ten advantages (Tib. འབྱོར་བ་བཅུ་, jorwa chu, Wyl. ‘byor ba bcu) of having a precious human birth are identified within some Tibetan Buddhist ngondro practices. There are five individual advantages and five personal advantages.[1]
The five circumstantial advantages
- a buddha has come
- he has taught the Dharma
- the teachings have survived
- there are followers of the teachings
- there are favourable conditions for Dharma practice
