vajra family (Skt. vajrakula; T. rdo rje'i rigs) is one of the "five families" (pañcakula), according to Buddhist tantra.

In Kriyā tantra literature, the head of this family is Vajrapāṇi.[1]

In the higher tantras, this family is presided over by the tathāgata Akṣobhya.[1] In this context, the Vajra family represents the enlightened mind, and is associated with mirror-like wisdom.[2]
