Vijñānānantyāyatana

vijñānānantyāyatana (P. viññāṇañcāyatana; T. rnam shes mtha’ yas skye mched རྣམ་ཤེས་མཐའ་ཡས་སྐྱི་མཆེད་; C. shi wubian chu) is translated as "sphere of infinite consciousness," etc. It is identified as:

• the second level of the formless realm (arūpadhātu) and
• the second of the four meditative absorptions of the formless realm (ārūpyāvacaradhyāna)
