Installing a Free MP3 Player.

An MP3 player is a piece of software that allows you to play MP3's using your computer. The MP3 player included on this CD ROM is called 'Winamp' and can be found in the 'resources' folder on the Omahamani CD ROM.


HOW TO INSTALL WINAMP

  • Open your control panel (Start / Settings / Control Panel)
  • Double click the 'Add / Remove programs' icon.
  • Click the 'Install' button.
  • Click the 'Next' button.
  • Click 'Browse' and direct the browse to the Seeds of Light CD ROM.
  • Find the 'resources' folder on the Seeds of Light CD ROM and open it.
  • Double click the winamp265 icon and follow the installation instructions.

HOW TO USE WINAMP TO LISTEN TO THE OAM MP3's

Make sure that your speaker system, headphone, or hi-fi is plugged into the 'speakers out' socket of your soundcard, and that these devices are switched on.

Quick way to listen to Seeds of Light MP3's.

  • Open the Winamp program (Double click the Winamp icon on your desktop or use start menu / programs)
  • On the first row of grey buttons from the top, press either the play button (2nd button from the left) or press the new tracks button (6th button from the left, next to the shuffle button).
  • Direct the browse facility to the Omahamani CD ROM and then locate the MP3 folder.
  • Open the MP3 folder and you will see several named folders containing MP3's.
  • Open the desired folder and you will see the relevant MP3 files.
  • Double click on the file that you wish to listen to and winamp will then play it for you.
  • If you here no sound, please check to see if your speakers are switched on.

 

Quicker way.

Alternatively, you can go to the MP3 folder on the Seeds of Light CD ROM, find the mp3 file that you wish to listen to and double click it. This will open up your mp3 player and immediately begin to play the selected mp3.
