Paranoia and Insecurity
FEAR BASED RESPONSES.
FEAR: | A natural stress response to a situation that threatens us. |
INSECURITY: | A fear response to "a perceived threat" to our health and well-being. We can feel insecure just by thinking about or mentally simulating a situation. We often have natural insecurities about areas of our life, for example in work and relationships. |
PARANOIA: | A form of heightened insecurity in which we perceive a threat even when there is not one. An irrational and illogical insecurity where fear has taken hold of us and influences our ordinary perceptions. |
