Inherited Conditioning: A True Story.
Conditioning: That which is transmitted from generation to generation.
My father spent just under 2 years in the British Army way back in the 1950's, yet this conditioning has stayed with him through out his life, and was transmitted to me by his behavior, which flavoured my childhood and adolescence with a definite military aroma. I became certainly military in movement, attitude, and emotionality. This ensured my alienation from any quality and pleasant interaction and relationship with the external world.
As I failed at school, at work, at home, and in relationship, I eventually ended up homeless and mad at the age of 21.
Yoga, meditation and the love and support of many beautiful people has helped me recover a great deal from this nightmare.
So, do not underestimate the power of inherited conditioning - it can make life very unpleasant.
Until we are consciously aware of our behaviour, until we undertake some form of introspection and inner-healing, then the false personality and it's conditionings will control our lives to some extent.
