Dharmadhātu (Abhidharma tradition)

In the Abhidharma tradition, dharmadhātu (P. dhammadhātu; T. chos kyi dbyings ཆོས་ཀྱི་དབྱིངས་; C. fajie 法界) refers to the dhatu of "mental objects" within the eighteen dhatus. In the context, dharmadhātu refers to everything that can be cognized by the mind-consciousness dhatu.[1]

These mental objects are also known as manoviṣaya.
