Higher Abhidharma

Higher Abhidharma is a designation, within Tibetan Buddhism, for Abhidharma texts and positions that are in accord the Mahayana view.

The Tibetan tradition distinguishes between the Higher Abhidharma, which is in accord with the Mahayana, and the Lower Abhidharma that is in accord with the Hinayana view.

In the Tibetan tradition, the most important text of the "Higher Abhidharma" is the Abhidharma-samuccaya.
