Jowo Mikyö Dorje is a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha that was sculpted by the famous craftsman Vishvakarman and brought to Tibet by Princess Bhrikuti on the occasion of her marriage to King Songtsen Gampo. Together with the Jowo Shakyamuni, it is one of the most sacred statues in Tibet.

Originally housed in the Jokhang temple, it was later installed as the central image in the Ramoche temple, in Lhasa.[1]
