Manendriya

Manendriya (P. manindriya; T. yid kyi dbang po ཡིད་ཀྱི་དབང་པོ་; C. yigen 意根) - the mind faculty within the six sense faculties.

The Princeton Dictionary states:

Each of the six consciousnesses—eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mental—requires a sense faculty or indriya in order to function. For the five sense consciousnesses, this organ is the physical sense organ associated with the eye, ear, nose, tongue, or body. The mind or mental consciousness (manovijñāna) does not have a physical support in this sense. Thus, the mental faculty is identified as a previous moment of consciousness.
