Today I have goodies for you. Popol Vuh PDF is one among a very few full text books that exists from the meso-americans cultures. Popol Vuh describes the Mayans creation myth, its epic tales of the Hero Twins Hunahpú and Xbalanqué and other spectacular stories.
The title Popol Vuh translates “Book of the Community,” “Book of Counsel” and has been mentioned as the Bible of the Mayans. Here you are spoiled with three different versions, keep in mind that these translations all origin from the same Maya documents:

Just about 5 years ago I traveled on a tour to . It was the most interesting trip sine I was to China a couple years of the massacre in the Jeneman square.
Was at the Guatemalan museum and several of the partially exposed sites. There is a museum dedicated to the Popol Vu. Here if the story I was told by a Guatemalan tour guide (not Indian, but also not a puppet of the “government” institution.
Some interesting facts: most of which are verified . The conquistadores stole gold from the natives, sending some of their butty back to spain to the church of the inquisition. Burned vat quantities of the beautiful books and scriptures (and murdering many of the native americans). A few scrolls were dissbursed to approx 5 european cities. The Mayans were resourceful, having learned spanish, phoenetically wrote the popol vu with spanish sounds to retain the essence of their religious and historical texts.

Dear Sir / Madam, I am very curious to know where this information is sourced? All the research I have followed draws cited information from Spanish writings. Zero from the Mayan’s. It becomes very evident that all traces of Mayan culture was destroyed by the Spaniards.In this instance we are to trust the writings of a culture that totally destroyed another? I am certain that the Spanish writings would be 100% distorted. The Christian mentality of the day was to kill , murder and destroy all non christian material.From all my research these ancient civilization were greater than the European ones at the time. This level of Government would require massive resources. I’m just not sure that the Spanish can be trusted with the History of such a huge Culture that they admitted to destroying.
